The difference here seems to be geography. It’s another niche western show and it’s brilliant marketing coupled with great performances from top quality actors. Accuracy issues regarding the oil industry? Apparently.
No matter, it’s a dynamic production and fun to watch
Yes. Does that mean none of this plays out the same way in real life? Thornton is earmarked for the role, although I read it was originally written for him. Larter is at the top of his game and looks phenomenal.
Otherwise I’ll be wondering what’s in there
Lots of cool stuff, except the only oddity is that Demi Moore is listed in all 10 episodes. I’ve watched all 5 so far and unless it’s just me, I only recall seeing and hearing her once or so, in her pool, for a brief moment. Hamm’s character isn’t seen much either, but he’s well-acted and nails his character, but Moore hasn’t been allowed to add anything so far. Maybe it’s written that way and she’ll have a part in later episodes.
