Story

Sawyer’s character was originally intended to be an older, dapper, suit-wearing con man from downtown Buffalo, New York.

However, when Josh Holloway forgot a line during his audition, then kicked a chair and cursed loudly in frustration, the writers liked the edge he brought to Sawyer’s character and decided to write Sawyer as a more southern, darker drifter. Jin and Sun’s wedding was and will become a major plotline in the final season of “Kwon.” However, when Koreans marry, the woman never takes her husband’s last name. Even in Korea, it is not allowed to marry someone from the same lineage, except in very rare cases.

Seriously. Jack, Kate, Sever, Hugo, Locke, Syd and yes, even Benjamin Linus' The script has been tweaked a bit since then. My son, then 16, said it was the best written show of its time, and now he’s 30, and as a writer himself, he maintains that commitment to this day: all other shows follow in LOST’s shadow.
