It’s a fantastic film!
Shabe Golestan Tanha Singer: Dariush Rafiee Composer: Majid Vafadar Lyrics: Mahmood Sanaee. Showing a lot of Persian culture, being a very funny and charming film, but also hinting at a lot of political themes. The fact that we were able to watch the film is a political act that demands its own appreciation.
Also, all beautifully shot
But for a film that is being made in Iran under these circumstances, it’s incredible. I’ve never seen so many scenes on the streets of Iran in a film. Impressive to see what Iranian directors pull off.
The atmosphere was magical
The plot itself is great, as are the acting. The cinema we were in was full of Iranians laughing and feeling the film. If you are interested in a wholesome movie with a dramatic twist, go for it.
