The Square also does Christmas lights like the ones in the movie. I have to give the writers and producers credit here, because they tried to do something very different in a Christmas movie story, even if Christmas just involved carrying a Chiefs sled around every time the team has a game on Christmas Day. So they hit hard, but only made one bunt.
He has a unique style that we enjoy
Maybe I should say they attempted a deep throw and only got a pass interference, but no bomb. Hunter King and Tyler Hynes had decent chemistry here and we liked Tyler in a few of these movies. However, there were a few things in this movie that took us out of the story, like a mother and grandmother practically throwing Hunter into a stranger’s lap the moment he walked in the door.

Then the whole trope about Hunter getting upset because he “didn’t believe in the hat” was ridiculous, especially when it was the best the writers could come up with to add some late-night tension to the romance. A lot of the “best fan” storyline worked, and Ed Begley, Jr. Parkinson’s disease made him look 15 years older than he should at 75, and that’s a shame, but it’s not his fault.

Some movies this year have had a boring supporting character who overacts to an embarrassing degree, and this movie is one of them. The owner of the deli nearly made me cough up this movie within the first five minutes. We don’t regret seeing this movie, despite some plot issues, but we won’t be going back to see it again.
