A grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he thinks
Ignoring his qualifications and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives – including his own. In "Shrinking", they share the most important moments that defined their characters in Season 1 and reveal who did the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and was prepared to audition people like Ford.

Segel told Goldstein that they should at least take it to Ford first, because they thought he would immediately turn it down, but at least others would hear that Harrison Ford was taking the project, which sparked interest from other big-name actors. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but he’s cheered up nonetheless. It’s listed on WatchMojo’s Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023).
Harrison Ford plays Dr
Two episodes in, and this show shows a lot of promise, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and sometimes even weird… heartwarming in a way that most shows aren’t, just reminiscent of the show’s community in those elements. I’m not sure if this is exactly how the therapist deals with his problems, but it certainly gives Jason Segel a place to work on his own.
Rhodes, Jason’s boss and mentor
I wasn’t sure how his character would work in this show, but Rhodes’ antisocial likeness certainly becomes a personality Ford will come across quite well when thinking about the movie. the more disturbing elements of the Han Solo character in Star Wars, it just fits this show like a glove. Somehow too relatable, Sean (Luke Tennie) plays Jimmy’s (Segel) son character while dealing with family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)…
And the music is really good in this show
What I see here seems so vivid and the possibilities are maybe (?) endless as I see Jimmy navigate these things. Btw, this show has a really good opening theme that I didn’t miss when I watched episode 2 either… Overall, this is an amazing show and I hope it only gets better from here.
